During the FEOph Symposium, junior speakers from France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain were holding lectures with focus on “Femto-assisted cataract surgery – is it becoming a gold standard?“. The presentations were followed by a roundtable discussion with five experts from these countries who discussed the different national approaches and strategies.
The roundtable discussion was chaired by Thomas Kohnen (Frankfurt, Germany). The panel consisted of Robert Bellucci (Italy), Salvador Garcìa-Delpech (Spain), Hosam Kasaby (UK), Pierre-Jean Pisella (France).

The best presentation award was given to Cedric Schweitzer (F) for his presentation “Femto second laser cataract surgery: update on the FEMCAT study”.
